For the second year, the Nebraska Farm Bureau is a sponsor of the 10/11 Can Care-a-van, Nebraska’s largest effort to collect food for local food pantries, food banks and rescues. In 2010, thanks to the participation of many County Farm Bureaus, the Can Care-a-Van collected a record 257,000 pounds of food during the one-week drive — that was a new record AND a 45-percent increase over 2009.
The campaign takes place June 6-11. To find out if the Can Care-a-van is coming to a county Farm Bureau location near you, view the schedule of events.
