Bread Machine Caramel Apple Pecan Bread


1 cup warm water

2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened

3 cups bread flour

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

3/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons active dry yeast

1/2 cup chopped unpeeled apple

1/3 cup coarsely chopped pecans, toasted


1. Measure ingredients and place all except apple and pecans in the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. 2. Add chopped apple and pecans at the fruit/nut signal or 5 to 10 minutes before last kneading cycle ends.

3. Select “sweet” or “basic/white” cycle for 1 1/2 pound loaf. Use light crust color.

4. When bread is done, remove from pan and cool on wire rack.

Yield: 1 1/2 pound loaf
