What is the difference between white and brown eggs?

We had another great question come in to the blog from a reader:

What is the difference between white and brown eggs?

There is no difference between white and brown eggs.

The color depends on the color and breed of chicken they come from.  Similar to a cow or pig their color comes from the breed and color of the mother.

The beef, pork or egg all tastes the same regardless of the color. There is also no nutritional difference between brown and white eggs.
